Millionaire Edward Lewismeets prostitute Vivian Ward on Hollywood Boulevard, after a fallout with his girlfriend. He asks her to get in the car and show him how to return to the Beverly Hills Regent where he is staying. He later hires her to play his girlfriend and accompany him to hi-profile dos. While things don’t always go smoothly, the two fall in love and both are forever changed because of the arrangement.
3. Gone With the Wind
Gone with the Wind is a 1939 American epic historical romance film adapted from Margaret Mitchell’s 1936 novel Gone with the Wind. Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War and Reconstruction era, the film tells the story of Scarlett O’Hara, the strong-willed daughter of a Georgia plantation owner. It explores her romantic pursuit of Ashley Wilkes, who is to be married to his cousin, Melanie Hamilton.
4. The Wedding Singer
This romantic comedy set in the ‘80s is as much about loving as it is about laughing. It stars Adam Sandler as a wedding singer in the 1980s and Drew Barrymore as a waitress with whom he falls in love. The film was later adapted into a stage musical of the same name, debuting on Broadway in April 2006 and closing on New Year’s Eve of that same year.

An American romantic comedy, Roman Holiday, features Gregory Peck as a reporter and Audrey Hepburn as a royal princess out to see Rome on her own.
